The latest design of SENTIENT’s Sapience Chair introduces an unexpected embroidery pattern, inspired by the spontaneous markings often found in urban landscapes. This unique design element, enhanced with gold leaf and pearls, boldly critiques the luxury market’s tendencies towards pretension, cleverly questioning the authenticity and exclusivity of mass-produced luxury items.

For this collaboration we chose an upcycled material that combines the softness and warmth of the wool against the rough yet sleek qualities of rubber. It’s a combo that vibes rock and roll, albeit with undeniable luxury.

This collaboration was inspired by a vintage Victorian tasseled fringe lamp and Japanese screen dividers. The combination creates an intimate and feminine voyeurism feel.
